At Kelvin Road School we want to 'Kia Toa, Kia Manawanui - Be the best you can be'.
We acknowledge New Zealand's bi-cultural heritage by integrating te Reo and Tikanga into our learning programmes.
We:
Encourage ākonga to learn through inspiring integrated activities, including daily play-based learning
Showcase our learning through our student lead team assemblies
Encourage ākonga to be self-directed learners
Foster creative thinking through creative play and activities
Develop our Kelvin Road School values of being Kind, Respectful, and Safe
Group ākonga to cater to individual needs
Support all ākonga with a robust enrichment programme
Participate in a variety of EOTC activities throughout the year
Promote future-focused, confident, and connected learners
Value e-learning and authentic learning experiences
The Middle school team aims to make learning fun, purposeful, challenging, and rewarding. We work collaboratively to provide the tamariki with a wide range of activities and experiences that are targeted to their needs and interests.
Ākonga are encouraged and supported to be self-directed in their learning
Through the Kelvin Road School curriculum, we maintain a strong focus on developing the skills needed to be successful and contributing citizens.
