At Kelvin Road School we want to 'Kia Toa, Kia Manawanui - Be the best you can be'. 

We acknowledge New Zealand's bi-cultural heritage by integrating te Reo and Tikanga into our learning programmes. 

We:

• Encourage ākonga to learn through inspiring integrated activities, including daily play-based learning 
  
• Showcase our learning through our student lead team assemblies
• Encourage ākonga to be self-directed learners
• Foster creative thinking through creative play and activities
• Develop our Kelvin Road School values of being Kind, Respectful, and Safe
• Group ākonga to cater to individual needs
• Support all ākonga with a robust enrichment programme
• Participate in a variety of EOTC activities throughout the year
• Promote future-focused, confident, and connected learners
• Value e-learning and authentic learning experiences 
• The Middle school team aims to make learning fun, purposeful, challenging, and rewarding. We work collaboratively to provide the tamariki with a wide range of activities and experiences that are targeted to their needs and interests.
• Ākonga are encouraged and supported to be self-directed in their learning
• Through the Kelvin Road School curriculum, we maintain a strong focus on developing the skills needed to be successful and contributing citizens.
